Green Creek Yoga is an in-home studio offering gentle, yet challenging, classes for students at all levels. Yoga is for everyone!
Classes are led by Erin Worley Claxton, Registered Yoga Teacher.
I strive to live my yoga on and off my mat. I strive to encourage others to do the same.
Classes are limited to six people to keep the space feeling comfortable and open.
Her cozy studio is an oasis of peace and relaxation, filled with natural light that is reflected in a mirrored wall. Accents include live plants, candles, and soothing artwork. Music plays in the space to increase focus, clear the mind, and prepare for yoga practice.
I discovered yoga while in college, when I registered for an "easy" class to fill my schedule. After just a few classes, my understanding of yoga completely changed. I realized how deep yogic history ran, and how intertwined yoga philosophy is in our present world. I fell in love.
Many years later - after a decade of 60 hour work weeks, three rambunctious and beautiful children, and countless life missteps—I decided to concentrate more on my yoga practice. Not just the physical asana practice, but the deep philosophy and history that ignited my initial interest.
Through yoga teacher training, I was able to increase my knowledge of those elements of yoga, bring them to my own practice, and hopefully create a little spark in the practice of others.
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I offer Vinyasa yoga, a dynamic practice that combines movement and breath. Fridays are also Philosophy Phriday, when we delve into the philosophy of yoga, history, and stories behind the poses.
On Mondays, I offer Yin/Yang yoga. This class is half Vinyasa and half Yin yoga, which is a slower practice that combines longer poses and stretching. Mats and props are provided for all classes, but you are welcome to bring your own mat.
